Re: Weekly Welcome 28 September, 2018

Guess i'm the only newcomer but well,

Hello,

I'm a student in Physics who's trying to see if i could help in any way projects on GitHub. I don't have a lot of "good" skills at the moment but i don't mind learning new ones if it can help me contribute to a project i like. I only have some basics in C++ and very few knowledge in html but that's all for coding. However i've seen that there are a lot of translation work here to do and i fluently speak french portuguese and english, i also have some knowledge of spanish. For now i just hope that i can find an interesting project (wich doesn't seem hard to find :-) on wich i'll be able to learn new skills and contribute to.

That's all :-)

Hi @Jynfreccs,

Welcome! We're glad to have you! I assure you that you're probably not the only newcomer here. We have people joining us all the time even though not all of them introduce themselves first. :)

There are definitely a lot of interesting projects out there. If you need help finding some, I highly recommend that you check out the GitHub Explore page which has many interesting projects segmented in different ways.

If we can be of any help, please let us know!

Thanks!

Hello World! @that-pat @Jynfreccs @nadiajoyce

I'm Matt, I'm not new to GitHub ~ I'm new to the community/forums/social aspect of it though! I'm a TA at Seneca college for their webmasters program, I also freelance making websites for clients, and providing detailed analytics for social media clients.

I'm no expert at GitHub, so I have lots to learn and hope to meet people who share the same interests along the way! :)
If anyone wants to reach out, you can connect with me on Facebook, or by email!
