I would need your help. I recently purchased some 3D Holo Fan (https://amzn.to/2TWeWzg) and I need to know how to connect to the firmware.
We want to build a mobile app to change some settings on the device, but also download/modify/update the firmware. Some apps exist already (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dmz.holofan), but we want to customize our own settings.
Does it require a specific software to connect through wifi to the device and access to the firmware?
We also want to connect the device remotely from a desktop through Internet and not locally, in case of we need to upload videos/photos, etc... I tried many things, but as I'm not a tech guy, I'm quickly limited.
I don't know whether it's the correct website to post this inquiry here, if not, can someone suggest to me some specialized websites/contacts where to post.
Thank you guys.
Yup, that's a pretty specific question. Maybe someone with experience with holo fans will see this here. But a better audience might be found at Hackaday

Rather late reply, but for others reference.
Odds are you would have to reverse engineer the app provided by the Chinese maker, to get any API information.
export.dseelab.com/ is a Chinese manufacturer with better support, their devices can be sen in some custom installations.
Their API documentation (Eng/Ch) can be fould here: export.dseelab.com/resource/help
A device made in Ireland that sells for $3000, HYPERVSN is heavily promoted at trade shows.
You can request their API info: hypervsn.com/how-it-works/sdk
