Group member’s repo not showing on my profile

I have a project that I worked in group and another member started the repository for the group and we basically put everything on that. But the project repository does not show on my github profile. We are done with the project so no further pushes are needed but I do want to have it show on my list of repositories and projects that I worked on. What should I do?

You can fork the repository and add to your pinned repositories.

Basically what @Wabri says. But you also have to make sure that the email address used to make commits inside a repository of someone else is tied to your account. Otherwise you contributions won't show up. More details: https://help.github.com/articles/about-commit-email-addresses/
