Error when compiling (make command)

I'm trying to compile a Cryptonote fork in Git Bash and I'm getting an error when using "make" command.

$ $ make
cd build/release && cmake -D CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release ../..
/usr/bin/sh: cmake: command not found
make: *** [Makefile:17: cmake-release] Error 127
bash: $: command not found

I have installed CMake, Visual Studio and Boost. What could be the problem?

Re: Error when compiling (make command)

cmake is not in your PATH?

Try adding

/home/user/opt/bin/

to your PATH variable. e.g.:

PATH="$PATH:/home/user/opt/bin/"

.
