python command not found

Hello everyone,
I m very new to python and I want to intall salmon tool on linux following this guide 

 

 https://salmon-tddft.jp/wiki/Install_and_Run#Download

 

for some reason when I typy this command line:

 

python configure.py --arch=intel-avx --prefix=/home/RNAseq/salmon --with-libxc= /home/RNAseq/salmon/libxc-4.2.1/

 

I have error,

bash: configure.py: command not found...


 

Can you please tell me what is wrong?

Welcome to Github Community Forum!

 

In the command line output you have posted there are no python command before configure.py, this is why the error. Try to run what you have write above:

python configure.py --arch=intel-avx --prefix=/home/RNAseq/salmon --with-libxc= /home/RNAseq/salmon/libxc-4.2.1/

and it not gives any command not found error.
