HTML Code with Markdown

Hello

I use some HTML Statments in my Markdown Blog. I make a backslash first, because it's only documentation.

But the Output loose the Format. All Rows start on Column1.  And only the </td> Tag is not displayed.

Code:

\<table>
  \<tr>
    \<th>First</th>
    \<th>Second</th>
    \<th>Third</th>
    \<th>Fourth</th>
  \</tr>
  \<tr>
    \<td>  Content Cell</td>
    \<td>  Content Cell</td>
    \<td>  Content Cell</td>
    \<td>  Content Cell</td>
  \</tr>

Result:

<table>
<tr>
<th>First
<th>Second
<th>Third
<th>Fourth
</tr>
<tr>
<td> Content Cell
<td> Content Cell
<td> Content Cell
<td> Content Cell
</tr>

How can i save the structure of my code?

Thanks a lot for a hint.

Greetings

Peter

Re: HTML Code with Markdown

As with your other question, I gave it a try.

What seemed to work for me was to escape the </td>. E.g. take this:

    \<td>  Content Cell</td>

and change it to this:

    \<td>  Content Cell\</td>

Why? No clue!
