Organisation and Repository capitalisation standard

It probably seams like a pretty insignifficant topic, but, is there a standard when it comes to the capitalisation of organization names and repository names?

As far as organisation names go, the more popular approach seems to keep everything lowercase (e.g: https://github.com/applehttps://github.com/heroku, etc.), but occasionally you come across an organization using  title case (i.e: https://github.com/Microsoft).

As for repositories, again most go for all lowercase and dash seperators (i.e: https://github.com/discourse/discoursehttps://github.com/flarum/flarum).

Is there actually standard for this or is it completely personal preference?

Thanks,

Simon Lehmann

I don't believe there is a standard for that.

Re: Organisation and Repository capitalisation standard

Even Microsoft's organization name is now lowercase:
