How to merge two repos without losing stars?

Original github repo was here

https://github.com/diux-dev/ncluster

9 months ago it was "moved" to here

https://github.com/cybertronai/ncluster

However, the move was done by forking instead of using Github move feature. Assuming I'm admin of both repos, Is it possible to merge the stars (+optionally issues) of two repos?

I'm really sorry but it's not possible to transfer stars between repositories. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Re: How to merge two repos without losing stars?

Hi @yaroslavvb,

While it is not possible to move stars between repositories as @AndreaGriffiths11 said, it is possible to move open issues between repositories. If you want to move all issues, however, doing this one by one might be a bit tedious. In that case, it might be best to use the GitHub API to list all issues in a repository, get the data from each issue, and then recreate the issues in the new repository.

It's not a perfect solution, but it might be enough to retain the issues that you need.

Thanks!
