Re: Feature Request: Switch from ready to draft in pull requests

This has been a source of frustration for our team since we first started using Drafts.  One suggestion is to make the default PR creation "Draft" because it is easy to fix unintentional use of this default by choosing "Ready for Review".  In the current situation, it is impossible to fix unintentional use of the default, which is all too common.

+1

I was about to use this feature and was surprised it doesn't exist.

Yes, please make it so we can switch a PR back to Draft status. I accidentally made someone else's PR 'ready for review' and wanted to switch it back.

I really need this feature in my life please.

The use case keeps showing up specially now that we've turned to trunk-based development.

Re: Feature Request: Switch from ready to draft in pull requests

Just to point out that gitlab has this been a while.

As long as you create a PR with title starting with `WIP:`, it'll be considered a draft and UI doesn't even allow to merge. And to un-draft, you just remove wip from title.

Still a bit clumsy since you gotta Edit > click the WIP link > save change but still works.

Another cool thing is that whenever a PR is flagged as WIP, it doesn't trigger builds either, and when you save without WIP, it automatically triggers a build.

We really need something like this for GH too.

FYI, the same behavior can be achieved on GitHub with https://github.com/wip/app , although, I don't believe it has any bearing on whether or not a build is triggered.
