HTTPS certificate is expired and https option is grayed out.

A few months ago, https support was enabled for my GitHub Page, however since yesterday they now serve an expire certificate and the "Enforce HTTPS" option is grayed out. So it seems support for it was suddently removed.

This is quite a major issue for me as I've changed all the links everywhere to point to this https domain and this is now removed without warning. Any idea how to fix this issue?

Re: HTTPS certificate is expired and https option is grayed out.

For me it says the following, so maybe they are updating certificates and then we will have this option back and hopefully it'll be prechecked.

Enforce HTTPS — Not yet available for your site because the certificate has not finished being issued.
Please allow 24 hours for this process to complete.

This is what is says for me too, however this is the 3. day wait. I have contacted support and will see what they respond with.

Hi @laurent22,

If you're still experiencing an issue with this, I'd recommend reaching out to private support so they can take a look for you. They'll be able to help better than we can in this public forum.

Cheers!

Re: HTTPS certificate is expired and https option is grayed out.

I'm having this same problem.  I reached out to private support, twice, but I've received zero response.  Is this normal for private support.  I mean, there's nothing i can do on my end.  I have no control over how GitHub creates the LetsEncrypt certificates.  Mine has been expired for over two weeks now and I've been working to get a new cert with no response from the GitHub system or their support.

Anyone else having this issue with HTTPS certs expiring, not renewing, and being unable to check the Enforce HTTPS box.  Anybody else also having trouble with GitHub support not responding?

Oh, and just to make things worse, the way I found out about it was that HTTPS was being enforced for an expired certificate so all traffic was being shown by browsers as being a potential security problem.  Sheesh.

Is this what I should expect from Microsoft?

Hi @nadiajoyce,

Thanks for the update.  I appreciate it.  You know, I submitted my request for help last Friday, and it's now 22:00 EDT Wednesday, 5 days later, and I have yet to hear from GitHub support.  I know the email works, because I recieved notification that you responded to my forum post.  Any idea what the delay may be?  Is everyone having this problem? :-D
