A GitHub Action I used to push changes towards the gh-pages branch seems to no longer work after it did for weeks, so I was wondering if GitHub changed the repo system for actions.
The code in general is this:
- name: Deploy Files run: | git config user.name "github-actions[bot]" git config user.email "41898282+github-actions[bot]@users.noreply.github.com" git remote add gh-token "https://github.com/Andre601/JDA-Wiki.git" git fetch gh-token && git fetch gh-token gh-pages:gh-pages python -m mkdocs gh-deploy --clean --remote-name gh-token git push gh-token gh-pages
The action seems to work up to the last line, which is failing.
This means that MkDocs, which I use for building and deploying docs, is pushing the changes to the gh-pages branch, but then pushing the files towards the gh-pages branch no longer works.
As mentioned did it work for the past weeks and just now stoped working.
I receive these specific errors in the logs:
remote: Permission to Andre601/JDA-Wiki.git denied to github-actions[bot]. fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/Andre601/JDA-Wiki.git/': The requested URL returned error: 403 ##[error]Process completed with exit code 128.
I'm really lost about what exactly is happening here and would love some clarification.
This seems to probably be an issue related to a status issue on GitHub:
I have the same issue when pushing within my GitHub action here:
remote: Permission to boogheta/coronavirus-countries.git denied to github-actions[bot]. fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/boogheta/coronavirus-countries/': The requested URL returned error: 403 ##[error]Process completed with exit code 128.
Is it real that the GitHub Actions are offline (or degraded) now since 9 hours? 😑
I have the same issues. And on new projects I'm not able to run any action.
Hi @Andre601 ,
I copied your code and confirmed it's working now, the issue should be caused by the incident and it has been fixed.
Please kindly try again.
