Wrong Emoji, and bad fonts on Linux

On Ubuntu (20.10 and older), fonts are ugly on Github, and emoji seems wrong too, it doesn’t happen when i edit a markdown, just when rendered (see screenshot bellow)

You can see on the repo here if you have a linux OS https://github.com/ryuukk/read_me_emoji_2/

I get the right emoji only on macOS, Windows, iOS, Android

I checked the CSS and it looks like:

    font-family: -apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,Segoe UI,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif,Apple Color Emoji,Segoe UI Emoji;

So it only detect OS fonts on macOS and Windows, note that windows has hardcoded values

-system-ui should be 1st css rule, so it picks right OS font

Just like in the Jetbrains website, you can see the beautiful font from your OS https://blog.jetbrains.com/dotnet/2020/11/16/working-with-uno-platform-and-rider/

Please fix! i sent a mail to support, but it doesn’t work, it is automatically rejected

This is a reccurent issue on most websites, because “UX designers” are all mainly using macOS, and are asked to make it look good also for windows users, they ALWAYS forget linux users

EDIT: ---- TEST EMOJI ----

Here i get the right one, that’s weird

I have reported the issue here btw: https://github.com/github/gemoji/issues/196
