Since today our windows builds are all getting stuck in the pacman step to install dependencies. There is no progress indication and no error message… I’ve tried cancelling and starting a new job 4 times but it didn’t help – always the same result.
This seems to be msys2 related. It is getting stuck on pacman installation of some packages:
Anyone having this as well? Funny thing is that builds that passed two days ago can’t build today anymore.
Just to close this out – It seems the issue was with msys2 updating pacman and not with github actions or the windows vm. I rearranged the install order of msys2 packages via pacman to first updated pacman and pkg-config and then all the rest like this - now it works again :
steps: - if: runner.os == 'Windows' run: | choco install msys2 --params "/NoUpdate" echo "::add-path::C:\\tools\\msys64\\usr\\bin" echo "::add-path::C:\\tools\\msys64\\mingw64\\bin" echo "::set-env name=PKG_CONFIG_PATH::/mingw64/lib/pkgconfig" - if: runner.os == 'Windows' run: | pacman -Sy --noconfirm pacman pacman -S --noconfirm pacman-mirrors pkg-config pacman -S --noconfirm --needed base-devel mingw-w64-i686-toolchain mingw-w64-x86_64-toolchain mingw-w64-x86_64-openssl upx
