In standard Git repositories, the “master” branch now defaults to being called “main” and you can even manually rename it to almost anything you want. However, I’ve tried renaming the master branch of my repository wikis to “main”, but if I do so they simply fail to display on GitHub.
Is this supported? If so, what’s the secret sauce? If not, why not? If it’s important enough to change the default branch name to “main” elsewhere, why isn’t it important to do the same on the associated wiki repository?
