Why GitHub only count commits from the default branch?

I use git-flow on my projects and everything I do in feature branches and develop branch does not count.
Why GitHub does not count these commits to my profile?

Hi @sergiomafra

We only count commits from a singular branch. If you are working on a fork, your commits must be merged into the master of the parent repository in a pull request.

The contribution graph is intended to measure your contributions to various projects, and the default branch is, in general, where commits can definitely be considered to be “permanent” rather than "works in progress”
