When opening a new files in VS code, an Executable program opens up

Today when I opened VS Code an executable program opens up separately from VS Code and prompts me to log into Github even though I am already logged into the Github Desktop program. Could this be a Virus?

When I click on “Sign with your browser” it opens my default browser and opens “http://localhost:59200/?code=7cf115eb3e53e3b1e895&state=7f62adbbb6f4428a8985e7d7423f90ff”

@Codingboy65 welcome! GitHub Desktop uses its own separate authentication storage, which is why you are seeing this prompt in VSCode. VSCode can’t use the token that GitHub Desktop creates for your GitHub account. I hope that helps explain things!
