use git bundle in slow network

Is there something like git bundle, with which i can download “snapshot” of a repository via something resumable like http, and then use git pull to keep updated?

Expect more information or advises. Any reply will be appreciated:smiley:

I think you answered your own question? git bundle is the system by which you can create a snapshot of a repository, transfer it via resumable http, then git clone from the bundle and you have a repository created from the snapshot. Once you have the repository created from the snapshot, you can use it as you would normally. You may have to create your own remote entries by hand but from there you should be able to keep it up-to-date using git pull normally.  You can find a step-by-step about using git bundle on the official git documentation site.
