Uploading an image to a Github repo to hotlink from a site?

Hi all,

Essentially, I am thinking of uploading the header of my site https://www.thenerdystudent.com/ to a Github repo, and then linking to the raw image so the header loads quicker.

  1. Is this okay with the Github T&Cs?

  2. Does Github serve raw images from a CDN?

Thanks

We can’t give advice whether any specific action is against our Terms of Service, especially since our Terms of Service change over time where this answer won’t. (See the https://github.com/github/site-policy repository to keep abreast of upcoming changes.)

However, we do have a general rule that if your use of the service impacts the stability of the service or other users, we reserve the right to take action to maintain service levels for all GitHub users. See Section C of our Terms of Service for more information.

I hope that helps!
