Updating a closed pull request

I forked a project, changed a file and made a pull request. The author of the original project then asked for some changes and closed my pull request. After making these changes I made a commit to my fork but my pull request doesn’t get updated automatically.

So is there a better solution than just making a new pull request?

Hi @syndesi

You should be able to reopen that closed pull request, if you’re the original PR author. Did you try that already?

Other than that, opening a new pull request to propose those changes would be a good route to take.

It seems that re-opening a pull request is bugged if the branch changes after the pull request was closed.

Please report this bug to GitHub, it’s very annoying and adds clutter since it requires users to make new pull requests instead of re-opening old ones.
