Unable to Push to Github

I am new to Github and RStudio… I am not sure how/where to fix this error message.

Run

git config --global user.email “you@example.com
git config --global user.name “Your Name”

to set your account’s default identity.
Omit --global to set the identity only in this repository.

fatal: unable to auto-detect email address (got ‘Vernon@DESKTOP-TC3TAQJ.(none)’)

Just as the error message says, you haven’t configured your name and email address in Git. You can set those using the commands described in the error message. Git records author name and email in each commit to show who made which changes. Github uses the email address to match commits with user accounts, so the address needs to match your account.
