I’ve published my website to Github, but after the Index page the website can’t find other pages. When I open the website I can go to all of the pages but once I try to return I get 404 error. Although everything works on my laptop.
Hello @yaliharel10, welcome to the GitHub Support Community!
When making relative links that lead to a page in a higher directory you can refer to the parent directory by including “
../” in the URL. For example, change the home link in the Calculator folder’s index.html to this:
<a href="../index.html">Home </a>
Include this in your href/src attributes in your sub-directories if you need to move up one directory to access the page/file. You can chain
../ as many times as necessary, depending on how deep your file is.
