Unable to complete the Git Bisect operation

Hello All,

I have done GIT bisect and found out a bad commit, now I need to revert this commit. I have followed the below procedure but I am unable to complete the final push operations to the remote repo.

git bisect start
git bisect good
git bisect bad

Found the bad commit and performed GIT REVERT:
git revert 4b5011eb91cc41fea82b2c4048cc2c564067612e

But when I try to push the changes to the remote repo, its saying all is up to date

git push origin master
Everything up-to-date

I am like a newbie in this so please advise what can be done in this

After finding the bad commit and making note of its ID you need to run git bisect reset to go back to where you started. After that you can revert.

The reason for that is that git bisect will check out commits as they are probed, so your tree will be in what’s called “detached HEAD” state. That means you’re just at some commit, not on a branch. It looks like you want your revert commit on the master branch, so you need to return there and then make the commit.
