That said, there are TOTP desktop applications. A quick search of
TOTP for [operating system] should show you a few trusted names.
If you installed a desktop TOTP on your personal machine, that would be somewhat like using it on a phone. It would mean, however, that signing in on another machine would require that you have your own personal machine with you to get the code, or that you have the recovery codes with you.
Right, thanks, but I am still looking for a program working on Windows 8. They all use Windows 10 applications
