Trying to line up my computer with my GitHub

Hello everyone, I’m new here.
Here’s the thing: About a year ago, I tried this devbootcamp; it was an utter disaster for me, but I want to start fresh and give being a professional coder/programmer another try.
So now I deleted all my old junk from my old GitHub account, and I want to line up my account with my computer so I can push and pull my new stuff with my account. Can anyone help me with that?
Sincerely, Craig

Hi @craigsw86, thanks for coming to the community for help!

I am happy to help get you started here. It sounds like you’d like to upload your local project folders to GitHub.

There are a couple ways of doing this. The first way is through the GitHub user interface. You would create a repository first and then upload the files directly to the site.
The following help article shows how: https://docs.github.com/en/github/managing-files-in-a-repository/adding-a-file-to-a-repository

You can also do this via the command line.
Connect to your repository remotely and then push the files up to the repository.
Again, you will create a repository on GitHub.

Let us know if you have any further questions about the setup process.
