Sync like dropbox

Is there a way to sync like dropbox, I mean, sync every change? Is because do a commit all the time for a small personal project is tire. Dropbox doens’t have something like .gitignore, so the node_module folder is a hell, is turning really slow and my disk usage reach 100%.

Hi @DrakoPD! Welcome to the Community!

I’m afraid there’s nothing built into GitHub to make automatic commits, sorry!

It would kind of defeat the purpose of using Git, really. One of the core ideas is that each commit should be intentional and have a useful commit message, so that navigating the history and different versions is manageable. If commits were created automatically it would be much harder to role back to specific points, or see which features were worked on in which parts of the commit history.

In that case, GitHub can create a new branch for make continuous sync. Then merge with the other branch when the user makes a commit. Is this possible?

I guess it might be possible to get the GitHub Desktop client to behave like this?
