Sudden `ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host`

Hi!

I woke up this morning as usual, was going to commit and push a few lines of code I hadn’t last night.

All of of the sudden I get

$ git push
ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

When I run ssh -vT git@github.com I get the following output

$ ssh -vT git@github.com
OpenSSH_7.6p1 Ubuntu-4ubuntu0.3, OpenSSL 1.0.2n  7 Dec 2017

I haven’t changed anything compared to last night when it was working

Tried so far:

  • Reconnect wifi
  • Reboot computer
  • Looked for github status messages

Any ideas?

I confirm that I am also getting the same error for last couple of hours

looks like it is working now

Can also confirm that it started working again, just now.

Thank you @smuzaffar for notifying me
