SSH Keys

Hi Guys,

Hoping you can help…

Trying to generate an SSH Key in cPanel to link our repo with cPanel

However, no matter what type key I generate Git Hub Presents me with this error…

Key is invalid. It must begin with ‘ssh-ed25519’, ‘ssh-rsa’, ‘ssh-dss’, ‘ecdsa-sha2-nistp256’, ‘ecdsa-sha2-nistp384’, or ‘ecdsa-sha2-nistp521’. Check that you’re copying the public half of the key

In SSH using this command:

ssh-keygen -t rsa -b 4096

The key i’m getting starts with:

The key’s randomart image is:
±–[RSA 4096]----+
+.o+
. . o o +E…
.o.o o o…
+o… . .
+ o.o. +S
.+.+ooo.+
. =.+.+Bo…
. o + =*=
. .+B.

You should be able to go back to SSH Access and view the public key, it will start with one of the prefixes Github is asking for.
