Share private repository with different person

Our workplace is wondering if it is possible to do the following.

Setup a Github account where we can share Repository A code with Consultant A and with same Github account share DIFFERENT Repository B code with Consultant B. Neither Consultant can see other’s repository.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @douglas168

If I understand correctly, you want to give two outside collaborators access to two separate (private) repositories within your organization.

An admin for your org can manage the access for these outside collaborators on each specific repository.
While in the repository, go to:

  • Settings > Manage access
  • Click Invite teams or people
  • Enter the GitHub username for the consultant you’d like to have access to that repository.
  • Set their role as needed
