Remove repository name from Github Page

Hi,
I am trying to generate a course website using Github Pages:

In all themes that I can choose the repository name " modeling.github.io" shows up. Is there a way to get rid of that, as it is of no interest to my students.

Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Marc

Only if you rename the repository to make it your user site, see Types of GitHub Pages sites for details. For project sites the path will always include the repository name.

 Welcome!

In case you mean the title at the top of your page, you can set the title: in your _config.yml file.

example of what that file might look like:

 theme: jekyll-theme-midnight
 title: Bugs Bunny

Thanks to both of you. canuckjacq’s suggestion works for me.
Looks like I need to learn a bit more about Jekyll …
