I can’t seem to find any way to remove the “generated from” sub header on a repository that was generated from a repo marked as a template. Is there any way to get rid of the header short of deleting the repository?
I’ve been waiting for this for a long time now.
We have projects that this don’t make any sense anymore, since we changed a lot of files and structure.
Can this feature please be available?
Yes so much this. I use a template github for making some default files for a certain format.
And then take that and now all repos have this tag although it makes 0 sense.
Why is it even there on the header?
My personal reason why I want to remove this from some of my projects is that it makes the project look unofficial. Perhaps because of the similarity to the forked from header.
At the very minimum there should be a way to hide this, it looks very unprofessional.
If the point of the tag was to expose the templates feature it just cause more harm than good
+1 on this, I’m looking to remove this tag without having to delete and remake my entire repository
