Question About Resources That Do Not Get Updated

In many of my C# projects I have images and documents and other non-code items that are needed for the project, but not necessarily to be in each check in.

Is there a way to separate media resources from code to keep repositories smaller, yet still have these resources availabe to the project (if that makes sense).

I have been using NuGet packages for some code on code references and it works really well, just wondering if there is some built in Git way to handle the separation of code / content.

Thanks

Hi @datajuggler,

There are various tools for this, these days the most popular one is git-lfs

Thank you much. I figured I didn’t invent the need for this.

I will check it out this weekend.
