Python check Github online

Hi, I’ve done a simple Sphinx (documentation generation) directive, that let me point to a GitHub file.

However, I introduced an online test (just to be sure that we have no link pointing to nothing in GitHub, as we have huge codebase in both documentation and example).

With this very basic code:

req = urllib.urlopen(url)
nStatusCode = req.getcode()

Our documentation contains around 50 links at the moment, but more will be added in the future.

So my question is pretty simple is there any limit? I know for example google block you if you make too much request.

Thanks in advance,

If you’re wondering if our APIs have rate limits, then yes, they do. You can find the information on the REST API rate limits and GraphQL rate limits in our developer documentation.

Is that what you were asking about?
