I have a problem deleting files associating a repository that doesn’t exist , when i was beginning to use git I added all the desktop files to a repository and commited the files then, tried to push it of course it failed but it says this message whenever I open vs code
“The git repository at ‘d:’ has too many active changes, only a subset of Git features will be enabled.”
can someone explain me the situation please ?
sorry for bad english.
It’s easy to accidentally make your home directory or your desktop a repository - I’ve done it myself more than once!
You need to navigate to the folder in question and delete the hidden
.git folder, which is where the Git magic lives! Once that
.git folder has been deleted, your desktop will no longer be a Git repository.
