PR comment events trigger against the default branch

I’m working on an action workflow where a comment on a PR triggers it to do some work with that PR’s code. The payload I’m getting is for the default branch though, not the PR branch. Is this intentional, and if so is there an easy way to get the PR branch so it can be passed into the checkout action? I really don’t want to have to create yet another action to figure this out with the API.

The only workaround to this I’ve found is triggering on the pull_request_review event and filtering on the submitted type. This adds an extra layer of complexity for the person trying to trigger the action though.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.  You should be seeing information about the pull request if you’re triggering with “on: pull_request”.  If you’re still having trouble, can you provide your workflow?
