Possible to add results of action to issue history?

If my commit that triggered the GitHub Action has a GitHub Issue ID in it, is there a way to update the linked issue and add a comment that a build occurred for this issue?  I’m guessing it could be done through another call to a webhook, but I was hoping to see that built-in and automatically show up on my issue history or available through plugin on the  marketplace.  Has anyone done something like this yet?

For bonus points, I’d love to be able to transition the issue status too, but not seeing much in my online research so far.

Overall, loving the GitHub Actions so far.  Keep up the great work!!

Thanks,
Richard

There is not a build-in way to directly link a issue with commits, but has a build-in ways to link issue with PR. And you can use the PR to trigger the workflows.

You also can report a feature request here. That will allow you to directly interact with the appropriate engineering team, and make it more convenient for the engineering team to collect and categorize your suggestions.
