Please why did my total commit count reduced?

Hello guys, so I have been away from coding for a while, got back and noticed that a lot of my GitHub commits are missing. I remember having about 720 commits, and now it reads 645 commits.
Please this is strange, any real reasons?

Hello @stealthman22, welcome to the GitHub Support Community!

You’re referring to your contributions in the last year, correct?

The contributions graph on your profile, by default, only shows your commits in the last year. When a new day is added for the current year, older days from last year are removed, hence the decrease in your commits.

Your contributions for previous years can still be viewed by clicking the year next to the graph.
