Please, allow us to disable auto-scrolling in the GitHub Actions logs

Simple situation: I have a build that lasts 10+ minutes. I could find out whether it will fail or not in advance by looking at the logs at the very beginning. Since, however, there is a lot of quickly generated output, I cannot do that: the logs get automatically scrolled down. So I have to wait until the workflow finishes.

Workflows like this are pretty common, I think. Please, make auto-scrolling optional.

@paveloom,

I recommend you directly share a feature request in the Feedback form for GitHub Actions.
That will allow you to directly interact with the appropriate engineering team, and make it more convenient for the engineering team to collect and categorize your suggestions.

Did anything happen on this?

The scrolling is really annoying!

Not as far as I know.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just noticed that it doesn’t auto-scroll in full screen mode (shift F).
