Output from a script to markdown?

Hello,

I have a fairly simple question. I was looking for a Marketplace Action or way through GitHub Actions to create some very basic markdown visible in the summary of the running job of output produced from a simple run (as part of a step) from a job (e.g, Python script output) or simply log to markdown. Is this possible through workflow? Can anyone point me to an example? My goal is just yoink output from a run step and make it more visible.

Do I understand correctly, that you want to render Markdown in the Actions log output? That isn’t possible unless you install a local browser extension that does that. You could let a workflow output something in Markdown format and perhaps post that as a comment to a pull request or something like that, however. Can you clarify what you actually want to achieve?

Hello,

Thanks for the response.

No. I would like to write a table to the summary view, e.g, here. My goal is to just elevate output from a run script, and I was hoping that the summary view would be a good spot.

Thanks for the clarification. I’m afraid the answer is more or less the same: GitHub would need to add support for that to the API and the UI. At the moment, the only information you can add to the overview is annotations. They are quite limited unfortunately.
