Outlook Taskboard

Hi Guys,

I don’t have any coding experience I’m afraid and I’ve taken on the challenge of turning my Outlook Tasks into a Kanban board inside of Outlook.  This would be a dream come true if I could achieve it.  I have been following these instructions: http://planetdma.com/you-can-create-a-kanban-view-for-your-outlook-tasks-part-2-of-2/ . I have gotten as far as step 7 and have come to a grinding halt.  This guide was written in 2015, so I suspect the code has been developed and has changed since then, so modification is impossible for me to follow, and thereafter looks pretty daunting too.

So if there is anyone out there who knows what it is I am trying to achive, with the columns

  1. Backlog
  2. Hopeless
  3. Waiting
  4. Today
  5. InProgress
  6. Complete

and can help me achieve it, I would be very grateful.

Hi @paulagranelli,

Thanks for being part of the GitHub Community Forum! We’re glad you’re here.

I wanted to jump in here, and mention that if you don’t get the help you’re looking for from this particular community, you might want to try getting help somewhere that focuses on Microsoft Outlook. It’s definitely possible another GitHub user might have run into this same issue and can help, but the GitHub Community Forum focuses primarily on topics related to GitHub, Git, and development projects hosted on GitHub. We want to make sure you’re getting the best support you can, but this forum may not be the right place for this particular topic.

Best of luck!

I also have the same problem, here is the nearest solution that I could find: https://github.com/maltehi/outlook-taskboard

This is the most active fork of the top 2 result when you google “outlook kanban”

Look at what I developed: https://papasmurf.nl/janban
