Our pull request templates aren't showing up for any PRs

I believe we have followed these instructions: https://help.github.com/en/articles/creating-a-pull-request-template-for-your-repository

And as per step 3, last bullet, we have a PR template here: https://github.com/caddyserver/caddy/blob/80dfb8b2a7f89b120a627bc4d866a1dc5ed3d92f/.github/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE/pull_request.md

But after some changes GitHub announced for templates sometime last year or early this year, it seems that no new PRs have them anymore. As if the template file didn’t exist at all.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I have always just stored mine in .github/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE.md and never had any issues. According to that link that should work but I don’t think I have not seen that in practice. It’s possible that github broke something. Unless you need to have multiple pull request templates I would suggest moving it to the location I mentioned and see if that works. If it does it sounds like a breaking change (intentional or otherwise) and I would contact github support to find out more.
