Object does not exist error 404 using Git LFS clone

I am new at using GitHub LFS, but I recently purchased a book titled “R Programming by Example” which references GitHub for code files and data files with pointers.  I downloaded Git LFS, and I have been using the CMD version.  When I input “git lfs clone https://github.com/PacktPublishing/R-Programming-By-Example.git” the following results:

The pointer values shown match the *.csv files that I need to access, and the *.csv file downloaded have only the pointer.  It seems to suggest the server is down or some other issue, and I have been trying this command for a couple of days in the event the server is down. However, there may be other issues such as operator error-me. What is the remedy for this issue?

Hi @gitofmind,

Thanks for being part of the Community Forum!

This error usually occurs when a file is deleted and then changes get pushed to the repository. That said, I’d actually recommend you reach out to us privately at https://github.com/contact so that we can take a closer look at your account and better help.

Cheers!

Thank you for your response.  I have submitted the issue to the site you referred me to.  I hope there is a solution to the problem.

Kindest Regards
