No remotes match the current setting

I am using VS Code and have the GitHub Repositories and GitHub Pull Request and Issues extensions installed. I have identified my ‘origin’ repository and am able to commit changes from my local repository to GitHub. What I cannot do is create issues and view issues already created. When I try to create an issue, I get the message ‘There is no remote. Can’t create an issue.’ I have included a copy of my settings.json. Note the repository is private.
