Need help updating Ender 3 firmware

I am attempting to update the firmware on my Ender-3 from stock V1.1.3 to V1.1.6. I believe I have successfully installed a boot loader but when I try to upload the firmware update, I get the following error message:

Arduino: 1.8.11 (Linux), Board: “Sanguino, ATmega1284 or ATmega1284P (16 MHz)”

Sketch uses 125024 bytes (96%) of program storage space. Maximum is 130048 bytes.

Global variables use 4573 bytes (27%) of dynamic memory, leaving 11811 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 16384 bytes.

Problem uploading to board. See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions.

This report would have more information with

“Show verbose output during compilation”

option enabled in File -> Preferences.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, check out this article. I don’t have an Ender-3 so I can’t test locally but this seems like it will do the job: https://howchoo.com/g/mge1mdfkzjv/ender-3-bootloader-firmware-update-marlin

I have same problem …
