Name Change problems

Dear GitHub Support community,

I have recently legally changed my name (and gender), but cannot easily find a way to change my name both in GitHub, and here.
I’d also like to change my UserID, but I could live with that, but I cannot live with having my old name on display everywhere I go.

Update:
While I have now changed my name and account on GitHub, I have yet to find how to do it here.
Can’t just delete the account and reopen with new name and ID either.

I was wrong Fortunately I’ve found another way. You need to log out of the community, and then go to your GitHub app authorisation settings here. Select “authorised GitHub apps” and then revoke access to the community. When you come back, you’ll need to re-authorise the community, and your username will be updated.

Looks like you just need to revoke permissions for the community forum and log in again. And congratulations!
