Multiple labels from an issue template?

Hi,

I tried to create an issue template, which automatically applies multiple labels to an issue on creation, but I was unable to work out if it’s even possible…

I thought this would work, but apparently it does not:

---
name: Bug report
about: Create a report to help us improve
title: ''
labels:
- bug
- triage
assignees: ''

---

Placeholder, template comes here...

If I only add a single label as string, that works fine.

How can I add more?

Did you try seperating the labels with commas?

I’ve read that article, but it (and all example I found) was using a single label. :frowning:

I tried to separate them with commas, I tried to use a JSON array or a YAML list none of them were success.

As stated in @nadiajoyce’s response on an earlier topic, comma-separating the list of labels is the way to go. You can also use the issue template graphical editor as described in our documentation. I created an example issue verifying that this feature works in my test repository.

must be a string divided by commas ,, example
labels: 'Feature, Software: admin'

fixed on pREST project here: https://github.com/prest/prest/pull/454
