Hi! I made a Github account during an internship last summer and set up two-factor authentication. I’m now back at the same company and need to get access into this old account; however, I’ve since gotten a new phone (disconnecting the authentication app) and my backup codes were saved on the computer I was using last summer. I have access to the email account I was using, and remember my password, but I’m still locked out of the account. It is imperative that I get back in, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks for being here. We understand the importance of that access!
You’ll need to reach out to private support for help with this. We can’t discuss specific account details in the public forum.
Thank you for your response! I’ve actually reached out to private support a number of times throughout the past week and have not heard back. How long should I expect to wait?
Hey @leeronisongithub I am pleased that you’ve shared this lock out status with our private support team!
I am not able to provide a specific time frame of when your ticket will be resolved. However please know that our support team is working diligently to address each support ticket.
Although this may not be the answer you’d hope to hear, we will have to allow the support team time to investigate and to reach out to you via that support request.
