keep a branch updated

Hi,

I have installed a develop branch (https://github.com/kdschlosser/samsungctl/tree/develop) on my raspberry pi and now there is an updated version of this develop branch.

What is the correct command line to update this version on  my raspberry?

Thxs.

Hi @wimbre,

Thanks for being here! You must sync your local branch with the remote repository to get any additional commits that have been added to the upstream branch since you originally created your branch.

For more information about syncing a fork:

@andreagriffiths11 answer applies to the situation where you have forked the repository yourself. If you did not fork the repo itself, please refer to my answer.

You can checkout to the developer branch (locally) and then use  git pull origin develop to pull in (download) the chagnes.

Great point, thanks for the clarification.
