It is now possible to have multi-level subdomains on *.github.io domains?

My username is joulev , so my GitHub Page will be in the domain joulev.github.io.

Now if I have a repository named abc , can I publish it in abc.joulev.github.io instead of joulev.github.io/abc?

The answer on this question says no, but “I will also share this feedback internally.”, and the question was asked and answered one year ago.

So is it possible now?

Without buying a custom domain, I have a workaround: creating an organization named abc-joulev , so the GitHub Page will be published in abc-joulev.github.io. However, it is a dash instead of a dot and this is a bad hack; and I don’t want to use it.

Thank you in advance.

No, there hasn’t been any change in this functionality.

As you pointed out, this is already discussed in another topic. In an effort to keep the Community Forum organized and make it easier for other users to find information, we ask that users continue the conversation in existing threads, instead of opening new ones. For this reason, I’ll be closing this topic, and you can continue the conversation there.
