if I have the following file set in a PullRequest (this is how I would see it in the filesystem or in an IDE’s “changes” tool window
/folder1/subfolder1/file4.cs /folder1/file1.cs /folder1/file2.cs /folder1/project1.csproj /folder2/file3.cs /folder2/project2.csproj /mySolution.sln /Readme.md
The ordering could be opposite, or even different, but it would be consistent…
The PR “Files Changed” view shows the files to me in what looks to be a haphazard, nonsensical order.
mySolution.sln /folder1/project1.csproj /folder1/file2.cs /folder1/file1.cs /folder2/file3.cs /folder2/project2.csproj /folder1/subfolder1/file4.cs /Readme.md
I’d expect to see them in the first list ordering or something else thats predictable and ordered. Is there a way to switch the PR’s “ordering” to the order I’ve been used to seeing them in for the last ~30+ years, or some other well ordered listing?
Truthfully I dont even want the PR to dictate the order of the file display, because the order in which I need to go through the files is going to vary. My “ideal” here would be a tree view nav control that would only show me the diffs when I click on a file.
