I am new to the GitHub community. Would really like to learn how to use GitHub. However, having started in the learning lab, has made me consider not using GitHub at all, or trying to learn from some outside source. Have tried to reach out to the community with no success. The learning labs documentation is totally different from whats on the page they sent you to. Is there documentation anywhere that can answer my questions?

Welcome @markws1977 !

Thank you for introducing yourself!  Those transition points, in the Odin project and with python, are very exciting areas to start enhancing your developer experience and knowledge.  You will see that your previous career experience adds a unique view on your approach to coding.

Hey! Can you elaborate more on what you mean by “Is there documentation anywhere that can answer my questions”? I personally found the GitHub learning lab to be straight forward so can you please let me know which specific parts were confusing and I can try and provide some support?

Greetings, I guess that my biggest problem is that most of the time I feel totally lost when logged on to github. Am always looking for that one manual or piece of documentation that lays out the fundamental concepts of navigating in the github community. Would love to learn how to code, just having a real problem in how to use these resources. Would really like to join in on a project, just don’t know enough to be anything but a burden. Nice to hear from you, have a good one!
